The Bombay Excessive Courtroom on Wednesday prolonged the interim keep on any probe that might be initiated towards Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers in relation to the investigation towards businessman Jitendra Navlani. The HC had stayed the probe final month on a petition filed by ED. On Wednesday, it adjourned the ED’s petition.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) wing of the Maharashtra police had lodged a primary info report (FIR) towards Navlani, for his alleged involvement in a corruption case after he allegedly extorted ₹58 crores from personal firms between 2015 to 2021.

ED has claimed that the FIR in Navlani’s case was filed below the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) towards unknown ED officers together with Navlani, who was not a public servant.
