Madhya Pradesh: 3 labourers killed, 2 injured in lightning strike (Consultant Photograph) |

Three labourers have been killed and two others severely injured after lightning struck them throughout heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, an official stated on Monday.

The incident came about on Sunday night in Semadhana village underneath Jaisinagar police station limits, the official stated.

The 5 labourers have been working at an under-construction home. Attributable to heavy rains, they took shelter underneath a tree when lightning struck them round 6 pm on Sunday, Jaisinagar police station in-charge Shashikant Gurjar stated.

Three of them – Mohit Raikwar (30), Chhotu Raikwar (18) and Mahendra Singh (65) – died, whereas two others have been injured and present process therapy on the Sagar district hospital, he stated.
