Members of the family of a person, who succumbed to his burn accidents on Saturday, lodged a criticism with CM Helpline towards the forensic professional of District Hospital allegedly for refusing to carry out an post-mortem of the physique.

The members of the family alleged that Dr Bharat Vajpai refused to carry out an post-mortem of the physique and mentioned that because it was night, performing an post-mortem was not attainable.

Santosh Soni, a resident of Timarni, had succumbed to his burn accidents throughout his remedy at a non-public hospital in Indore.

“After finishing formalities, we introduced the physique to District Hospital for post-mortem. We reached the hospital at 4.45 pm however the obligation physician refused to carry out the autopsy,” members of the family mentioned including “We requested him to carry out the post-mortem as we now have to take the physique again to Timarni, however he did not hearken to our request and left the hospital.”

Members of the family lodged a criticism with CM Helpline towards the physician.

In the meantime, Dr Vajpai denied allegations and instructed the media that the physique was dropped at the hospital within the night after had he left.

Notably, the then Civil Surgeon Dr Santosh Verma had ordered that the timing for performing an post-mortem could be from 9 am to six pm, however the order has not been adopted.

Civil Surgeon Dr Pradeep Goyal mentioned there was confusion between the physician and the members of the family.
