Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A person who created a pretend profile on social media and posed as a style from Mumbai duped a lady of Rs 3.75 lakh at the pretext of offering her with a financial institution officer’s activity and marriage. The state cyber mobile arrested the accused on Saturday and recovered Rs 1 lakh from him.

SP (Cyber Cellular) Jitendra Singh stated {that a} girl from the town had lodged a grievance on January 8 that she befriended an individual named Sameer Rana on social media in April 2020. The accused had set the photograph of a style on his show profile. He posed as a style from Mumbai and stated he may provide her with the activity of a financial institution officer in Mumbai.

He later took Rs 1 lakh from the lady at the pretext of filing a role utility and for different fees. Later, they shared their cell numbers. When she didn’t get a role, she contacted the accused and instructed him to go back the cash. The accused then compelled her to comply with marry him and once more took cash from the lady. The accused took Rs 3.75 lakh in all from the lady and switched off his cell phone. He additionally deleted his social media account.

The lady lodged a grievance with the police. Cyber mobile law enforcement officials discovered the checking account used for receiving the cash used to be from Bhopal and the SIM card used to be registered below the identify of Rounak Agrawal. Throughout wondering, Rounak allegedly confessed to duping the lady. He’s a resident of Vimalshri Nayan within the town.
