The Maharashtra authorities is planning to arrange 2,375 electrical automobile (EV) charging stations on all state highways, bus stops and different outstanding locations by 2025.

Among the key areas will probably be on Mumbai-Pune expressway, and Nashik, Nagpur and Aurangabad highways.

For this, Mahavitaran – Maharashtra State Electrical energy Distribution firm (MSEB) – has been appointed because the nodal company.

Of the entire EV stations, Mumbai alone may have 1,500 stations. Whereas 500 have been deliberate for Pune, Nagpur may have 150, Nashik 100, Aurangabad 75, Amravati 30 and Solapur may have 20.

Of those, 13 have already been arrange and work on 49 others is underway, with 17 in Pune, 10 in Navi Mumbai, six every in Thane and Nagpur, and two every in Nashik, Aurangabad, Solapur, Kolhapur and Amravati.

The MSEB has additionally developed an influence cell software to determine the close by EV stations.
